Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, rotating shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly
• Recognize and interpret ECG rhythms, ensuring patient safety
• Administer medications safely and according to protocols
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• At least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignment
• Active Ohio or compact state nursing license in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications current and active
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (acceptable scores required)
• Adequate experience with ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Prior travel or temporary nursing experience (preferred but not required)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Additional Notes

• Travelers must complete required background checks and spectrums, including BCI/FBI screenings within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Onsite badging and fingerprinting are required prior to start
• Modules are billable and must be completed pre-start and annually for ongoing compliance
• Candidates must be nicotine-free (except nurses and CSTs, who are temporarily exempt) and pass necessary drug screens
• Must coordinate and discuss all requested time off (RTO) during the interview process
• Position may involve rotating shifts with possible schedule variability to meet operational needs
