Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and document patient responses accurately.
  • Recognize and respond to patient emergencies and ECG rhythms per hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Comply with all hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Ohio or Compact state RN license at the time of submission.
  • Minimum of 18 months of PERMANENT experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing prior to travel.
  • Recent 18 months of MS/Tele experience, including travel experience accepted.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications active and up-to-date.
  • Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score.
  • Negative drug screen including Nicotine (for non-nurses/CSTs), completed within 12 months of start date.
  • Complete BCI/FBI background checks within 48 hours of signing the contract.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience working in a hospital with rotating shifts.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records and medical device monitoring.
  • Ability to work at least every other holiday as required.

Shift Details

  • Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Candidates must be available to work at least every other holiday.

Additional Info

  • Must have at least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel.
  • Travel compliance includes submission of all required documentation and assessments via Qualivis – Lotus system.
  • Onsite badging, fingerprinting, and module completion required before start date.
  • Candidates may be submitted for one position at a time within the Cleveland Clinic system.
