Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit at a major hospital.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms; respond effectively to patient needs and emergent situations.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently utilizing hospital systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing prior to travel.
• Current Ohio RN license or valid compact state license in hand.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Recent experience (travel experience acceptable) in Med/Surg Telemetry.
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Must be willing to work at least every other holiday.
• Successful completion of orientation assessments.
• BCI/FBI background check completed within 48 hours of start.
• Covid-19 vaccination or approved exemption (temporary exemption for Nurses and CSTs).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital environment with high patient acuity.
• Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records systems.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
