- Full-time, contract, traveling assignment
- Rotating shifts: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3x12-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care in a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units within a hospital setting
- Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms; recognize abnormal rhythms promptly
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Comply with all hospital policies and safety protocols during shifts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing prior to travel assignment
- Recent MS/Tele experience: at least 18 months, travel experience acceptable
- Valid Ohio RN license or eligible Compact State license (effective from 1/1/23)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications active and current
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
- Willingness to work at least every other holiday
- Negative 10-panel drug screen with Nicotine (Cotinine) test within the past 12 months
- Complete BCI/FBI background check within 48 hours of signing contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital environment with telemetry units
- Knowledge of hospital electronic medical record systems
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
