Key Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze wounds, including evaluating size, depth, color, and surrounding tissue health.
• Select and apply appropriate wound dressings following best practices.
• Perform wound care techniques such as debridement and irrigation.
• Educate patients and their families on proper wound management and prevention strategies.
• Document wound assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) — proficiency in EPIC required.
• Care for patients with ostomies and continence issues, including assessment, appliance application, and patient education.
• Manage patient pain related to wound care using appropriate analgesic techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Valid State Nursing License (at least pending with clear ETA).
• Current BLS certification.
• Recent experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience in wound care.
• Ability to travel as required, with compliance to travel policies.
• References available upon request.
• Copy of certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred; all must be current and valid).
• Valid driver’s license for address verification if residing within 40 miles of the facility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with wound debridement and irrigation techniques.
• Familiarity with ostomy care and continence management.
• Multi-state nursing license or eligibility.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
