Tech - EMT/Paramedic

Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, 26-week contract, night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), working 3 nights per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for patients
- Administer medications and perform IV procedures as needed
- Operate and monitor Zoll cardiac monitors and Baxter/Alaris IV pumps
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during transport across various service levels, including behavioral health, wheelchair, BLS, ALS, and critical care
- Maintain compliance with unit policies, certifications, and safety protocols
- Document patient care accurately using ESO electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Paramedic certification with continuing education requirements
- North Carolina EMT certification and CE requirements
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time pre-hospital care or equivalent experience
- Over 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of satisfactory driving history
- Ability to work scheduled weekends and on-call shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Boarded with Muncombe County Medical Director
- Bachelor’s degree in EMS or related field
- National Registry certification
- Experience working with Zoll cardiac monitors and advanced medical equipment
