- Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Plattsburgh, NY
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12-hour shifts (day/night rotation), nights, flexible schedule with every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care and support to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations
- Support in nursery and emergency room departments as needed
- Work collaboratively with hospital staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Float across hospital units, including adult, neonatal, and pediatric floors
- Adhere to hospital policies regarding dress code, documentation, and equipment usage
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of RT experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to clinical practice
- Current NY license or proof of application with applied date (license processing time of 6-8 weeks)
- NRP certification or experience with neonatal/pediatric populations
- EPIC electronic medical records experience within the past 2 years
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or hospital float experience preferred
- Experience with ventilators such as Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV1200
- Comfortable working on various hospital floors and supporting multiple departments
