Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temporary assignment (16-32 weeks)
• 12-hour shifts, Mids (midnight shifts)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, rotating

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a busy Level 3 ER setting
• Manage patient assessments, treatments, and IV therapies independently and efficiently
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including respiratory therapists, crisis clinicians, and ancillary staff
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records, specifically Epic
• Handle higher patient ratios (up to 1:5) in a fast-paced environment
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Active NY RN license or proof of application with applied date (licensing may take 6-8 weeks)
• Minimum of 1 year of ER or specialty experience in a high-volume setting
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (active or proof of class prior to start)
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Epic Electronic Medical Record experience within past 2 years
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation, vehicle equipped for winter conditions (recommended)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in ER
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience managing complex cases, psychiatric or boarded patients, and COVID-19 patients
