Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU settings, including medical, surgical, neuro, and transplant units.
• Monitor hemodynamic parameters, interpret arterial blood gases, and manage ventilated patients using equipment such as ventilators, BIPAP, and invasive monitoring tools.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and perform procedures such as blood product administration and central line management.
• Respond to emergencies including code situations, stroke management, and organ donation procedures.
• Maintain infection control protocols, use PPE, and ensure patient safety through proper wound care, suctioning, and monitoring of multisystem organ failure.

Required Qualifications

• Valid State Registered Nurse license (or compact license in applicable states at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• At least 2 years of ICU nursing experience, preferably in medical, surgical, neuro-medicine, or transplant units
• Experience with invasive and non-invasive monitoring (CVP, Swan-Ganz, arterial lines)
• EPIC charting system experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing respiratory failure, ARDS, and acute stroke patients
• Familiarity with CRRT/dialysis and end-of-life care procedures
• Ability to work within a fast-paced, magnet, and teaching hospital environment

Additional Notes

• Candidates must have at least 75 miles from the facility due to local radius rules.
• 12-hour day shifts; guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks with consideration for holiday and charge nurse assignments.
• No RTO during the first week; maximum 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.
• Must have or obtain Missouri RN license prior to start, and all certifications must be current.
• Must be willing to float within ICU service lines as needed.
• No personal or medical marijuana background checks are accepted.
• Complete required modules on WorkRamp within 1 week of signing.
