- Full-time, days shift, week of 5 shifts (Monday – Friday + one weekend day per month)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in an acute hospital setting across various levels of care, including ICU and progressive units.
- Evaluate patients, develop, and follow individualized plans of care (POC) to improve function through ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and activities.
- Assess patient discharge needs and make appropriate recommendations based on daily patient progress.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans using Cerner electronic charting system.
- Participate in inpatient acute care rehab team with a diverse professional staff, managing a wide range of diagnoses such as cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, respiratory illnesses, and neurological conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Valid Indiana state occupational therapy license (permanent or temporary).
- BLS certification.
- Current NBCOT certification.
- Willing to work 8-hour shifts on days, Monday through Friday, with one weekend day per month.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Manual therapy and lymphedema certifications/licenses.
- Cerner electronic health record experience.
- Experience with inpatient rehab for patients with complex diagnoses such as CABG, stroke, TBI, MS, Parkinson’s, and post-surgical recovery.
- Familiarity with acute care hospital protocols and multidisciplinary team environment.

Additional Notes:
- Candidates must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays during contract duration.
- Must work within hospital floating policies; floating is 100% required.
- Local residents of Indiana are considered local travelers.
- Certifications and licenses must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be available upon application.
