Part-time, Nights, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care for all patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with policies.
• Identify and support patient and family education and discharge planning needs throughout the care episode.
• Supervise and oversee care provided by LPNs and non-licensed personnel, ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
• Complete competency testing and education specific to patient populations, age groups, procedures, and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license issued by the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of current experience in hospice or relevant specialty.
• At least one 13-week travel nursing assignment completed.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system (training available on-site).
