Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a nephrology clinic setting, supporting clinic flow for patients and healthcare providers.
- Assist with patient examinations, treatments, phone consultations, and procedures within the scope of licensure.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records and documentation.
- Collect, prepare, and handle specimens as needed.
- Administer medications as ordered by providers and ensure patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN program.
- Current nursing license in the state of Iowa.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care settings preferred.
- BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA), with certification completed within three months of hire.
- Strong nursing skills, patient service focus, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in acute care, home health for cardiac or diabetic patients, or triage in ER, MD office, or phone settings.
- Membership in professional organizations or certification in a specialty related to nephrology nursing.
