Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a nephrology clinic setting, supporting clinic flow for patients and healthcare providers.
• Assist with patient examinations, treatments, phone consultations, and procedures within the scope of licensure.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records and documentation.
• Collect, prepare, and handle specimens as needed.
• Administer medications as ordered by providers and ensure patient safety.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN program.
• Current nursing license in the state of Iowa.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care settings preferred.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA), with certification completed within three months of hire.
• Strong nursing skills, patient service focus, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in acute care, home health for cardiac or diabetic patients, or triage in ER, MD office, or phone settings.
• Membership in professional organizations or certification in a specialty related to nephrology nursing.
