Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility.
• Perform clinical assessments including CIWA/COWS and drug screenings.
• Maintain empathetic boundaries while delivering compassionate patient care.
• Monitor voluntary patients in a secure environment with ongoing medical and psychiatric oversight.
• Document patient information accurately using the facility’s electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with on-call medical staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid BLS certification.
• Minimum of 12 months of prior nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric or behavioral health settings.
• Ability to perform assessments including CIWA/COWS and urine analyses.
• Strong boundary-setting skills and patient supervision in a secure environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in psychiatric or inpatient substance abuse settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically HCS.
• Experience working with voluntary patients in a mental health facility.
