Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the operating room, supporting procedures across various specialties including orthopedics, urology, OB/GYN (including C-sections), plastics, podiatry, and ENT.
• Assist with surgical procedures as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Work alongside surgical teams utilizing advanced equipment such as computerized charting systems, Da Vinci Robot, and MAKO Robot.
• Support pre-operative preparation and post-operative care for patients.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and provide quality patient care during surgeries.
• Participate in unit-specific training and orientation, including Cerner system training and paired call coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (state-specific license).
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Comfortable working with computerized charting and advanced surgical equipment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including one call night per week and one weekend per month.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience working in surgical units with diverse procedures.
• Ability to float to other surgery department units as needed.
