Full-time, night shifts (3x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized telemetry nursing care for adult patients, including rhythm interpretation and critical care management.
• Read and analyze EKG rhythms accurately, with the ability to identify critical rhythms for prompt intervention.
• Document patient information thoroughly using Epic-EHR systems.
• Respond to patient needs, monitor cardiac rhythms, and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Float within hospital units as needed, within the scope of telemetry and critical care.
• Complete necessary compliance modules and assessments prior to orientation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York State Nursing License (in hand).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythms with passing score on hospital proctored tests.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience, including experience with critical drips and CVA care preferred.
• Epic/EHR charting experience.
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam with 85% or higher.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in ICU, ED, Cath Lab, or Urgent Care settings.
• Experience with telemetry in hospital environments, including flu vaccination or valid exemption.
• Knowledge of Relias EKG modules and completion of related training.
