Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement radiation treatment plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists and medical physicists.
• Utilize Varian TrueBeam Linac and ARIA record and verification EMR systems to ensure precise delivery of radiation therapy.
• Perform dosimetric calculations and quality assurance procedures to optimize patient treatment.
• Maintain detailed documentation of treatment plans and procedures in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Float within the hospital as needed to support various departments within the skill set.
• Adhere to local radius restrictions, working within a 50-mile radius of the specified location.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Dosimetrist or in a similar radiation therapy role.
• Associate’s Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or equivalent.
• Valid NY State license for Radiation Therapy Technologists.
• ARRT certification preferred; BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator and ARIA EMR systems.
• Ability to pass the Relias EKG exam with a 100% score and identify critical rhythms.
• Submission of recent Nursys record, current certifications, and references.
• Must have a valid Social Security Number and Date of Birth for background verification.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the location.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel experience in radiation therapy settings.
• Experience working in high-volume treatment centers such as ED, ICU, Cath Lab, MS/TELE, or Urgent Care environments.
• Comfort with completing necessary modules via Healthstream prior to orientation.
