• Full-time, Days shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown unit.
• Monitor and assess patients with cardiovascular and other complex diagnoses, including post-cath lab, pre/post-transplant, and pre-valve replacement cases.
• Respond to patient needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care.
• Float within the hospital and to affiliated facilities as needed, adapting to different units and patient acuity levels.
• Follow unit protocols for cardiac drips, IV starts, sheath pulls, and telemetry monitoring.
• Maintain compliance with all certification and procedural requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana or valid license in state of residence (license must be in hand prior to start).
• Minimum of 18 months nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Ability to work flexible weekend schedules, including working 50% of weekends during the contract.
• Willingness to float to different units, including Med-Surg, ICU, and other specialties, as needed.
• Experience with cardiac care, Drips, Post Cath Lab procedures, IV starts, and sheath pulls.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience with conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring.
• Previous work in a Level I Trauma or teaching hospital setting.
