• Full-time, contract, 3 shifts per week, night shifts (12-hour nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to critically ill infants, including premature babies as young as 22 weeks.
• Monitor and manage patients with various diagnoses such as hypoxic injury, surgical infants, and those requiring specialized procedures like therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide therapy, and ventilator support.
• Administer medications and treatments using advanced equipment including ventilators, IV pumps, and Feeding Fusion.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care; responsible for documentation within the EPIC system.
• Float to different hospital units, including pediatric, PICU, and nursery, as needed based on census and skill set.
• Adhere to unit protocols and safety guidelines, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 Intensive Care Nursery.
• Valid NICU or appropriate RN license; NC or Compact license acceptable if in hand at start.
• Certifications: BLS and NRP required.
• Vents experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; overnight availability is required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers accepted.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Knowledge of specialized procedures such as GTT, Trachs, Broviacs, and therapeutic hypothermia.
