Job Title

• Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) / Clinical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist (MT)

• Lincoln, ME

Schedule / Job Type

• Temporary, 13-week assignment; 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts; rotate weekends; no call

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiology testing, including gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures
• Conduct blood bank testing and proficiency in blood typing
• Collect and handle specimens through phlebotomy with proficiency
• Ensure compliance with Covid safety regulations, including PPE and isolation procedures
• Work independently, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively
• Cover holiday shifts on a rotating basis

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist program
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood bank testing
• Ability to perform microbiology procedures such as gram stains and cultures
• Knowledge of Covid safety protocols and PPE usage
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Microbiology experience is preferred; if not, experience with gram stains and culture planting is required
• Prior experience working in a hospital or critical access hospital setting
