Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week contract, on-site, day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute nursing care to telemetry patients on a 34-bed unit.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to abnormal findings.
• Manage respiratory care, including advanced airway management and oxygen therapy.
• Administer cardiac drips and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Follow unit protocols and policies, including documentation in a Meditech EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Respiratory management skills, including oxygen therapy and advanced airway support.
• Ability to handle cardiac drips (non-titrated).
• At least 1 year of RN experience in a hospital setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with stress tests, heart catheterizations, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube management.
• ACLS or ALS certification.
• Strong team player with collaborative skills.
