Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, Night shifts (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Read and interpret patient rhythms; pass hospital proctored rhythm identification tests with a score of over 80%.
• Document patient data accurately using EPIC and Omnicell-Med systems.
• Triage patients according to Level 1 trauma protocols.
• Float within the hospital as needed based on skill set and operational requirements.
• Comply with hospital policies, including flu vaccination requirements and travel policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Emergency Department or ICU.
• Valid New York State Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at submission).
• Current BLS, PALS certifications.
• NIH stroke certification.
• Ability to read rhythms and pass hospital rhythm proctoring tests with >80% accuracy.
• Experience with EPIC charting and Omnicell-Med systems.
• Must be willing to float as needed.
• Satisfactory completion of Relias EKG exam with a score of 100% within 72 hours of start.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• ACLS certification.
• Experience in triage, trauma, or critical care settings.
• Prior travel experience preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Flu vaccination required by November 1st; exemption needs to be approved 2 weeks prior if medically or religiously exempted.
• No local candidates within 50 miles of Saratoga Springs are accepted for this role.
• Travel compliance documentation including SSN, DOB, recent work references, and recent certifications is required.
• Must complete required modules prior to orientation; failure to do so may result in disqualification.
