Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations across various body parts for interpretation by radiologists.
- Maintain patient records and departmental documentation accurately.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety principles and departmental policies.
- Assist in ultrasound invasive procedures and participate in departmental quality assurance activities.
- Pursue continuing education for skill and certification advancement, including RDMS certifications.
- Support general hygiene and safety protocols within the department, and assist in preparing and maintaining ultrasound equipment and work areas.
Required Qualifications
- Current ARDMS certification in at least one modality (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, RVT, RDCS).
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to perform all diagnostic ultrasound exams related to assigned modalities.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certification in multiple ARDMS categories (up to three modalities).
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and in high-stress environments.
- Willingness to learn additional imaging modalities and contribute to departmental accreditation efforts.
