Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, travel, night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide postoperative care to surgical patients in a 32-bed general surgical unit
• Collaborate closely with physicians, hospitalists, and surgical team members to ensure patient comfort and recovery
• Float between units and hospitals as required, maintaining high levels of flexibility and professionalism
• Administer medications, monitor patient vital signs, manage pain, and facilitate mobility and bedside procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech electronic medical record system
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including holiday and weekend coverage

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) or higher
• Registered Nurse license valid in Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience, or 18 months with appropriate licensure, with at least 1 year in a surgical or telehealth setting

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in general surgery or telemetry units preferred
• Ability to adapt to floating between different units and facilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
