Schedule / Job Type

• 13-week travel assignment, night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours guaranteed per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those on ventilators, with complex cardiac devices, and post-open heart surgery patients
• Monitor and manage critical patient conditions using advanced equipment such as ventilators, balloon pumps, CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial and central lines
• Perform bedside procedures including central line placement, chest tube insertion and removal, thoracentesis, intubation, and extubation
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech system and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Support unit operations by floating to other ICU, IMC, or emergency hold areas as needed
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and unit guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Nevada or eligibility to license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience, with open heart surgery recovery experience preferred
• Proven ability to care for ventilated patients, with experience managing IABP, CRRT, Swan-Ganz/PA catheters, arterial, and central lines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in CVICU or cardiac ICU settings
• Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular monitoring and procedures
• Strong critical thinking and patient management skills
