Schedule / Job Type
- 12-hour night shifts, 1 shift per week, contract position
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Stepdown units
- Monitor patient health status and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Ensure documentation is accurate and timely according to hospital standards
- Respond quickly to patient needs and emergencies during night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Louisiana or appropriate compact license
- Experience in Med Surg, Orthopedics, or similar units preferred
- Ability to work night shift and adapt to a 12-hour schedule
- Strong communication and patient assessments skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units
- Knowledge of orthopedic and surgical patient care
- Flexibility and ability to work independently during night shifts
