Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Nights, Full-time, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Assess triage patients over 20 weeks gestation using obstetric triage acuity tools
• Conduct labor assessment, fetal evaluation, and monitoring for signs of labor, PTL, preeclampsia, membrane rupture, decreased fetal movement, vaginal bleeding, and critical conditions
• Stabilize patients in emergency situations and coordinate transfers to higher levels of care if needed
• Manage intrapartum care including labor evaluation, medication administration (e.g., Pitocin, mag supplements, antihypertensives), and preparation for delivery
• Provide postpartum and newborn care, including assessments, medication administration, assisting with procedures such as circumcisions, and stabilization of critically ill newborns

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years current labor and delivery nursing experience
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent)
• NRP certification
• AWHONN Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certification
• Ability to pass BCA testing within the first week of assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• EPIC electronic health record experience (training available onsite)
