• Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to ICU patients in a Level I Trauma and Magnet hospital setting.
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support, chest tubes, wound care, and other critical interventions.
• Perform sterile procedures such as line insertions, bedside tracheostomy placement, paracentesis, and bronchoscopy.
• Monitor and interpret EKGs; pass Relias EKG exam; manage dysrhythmias.
• Support patients on therapies such as CRRT via NxStage, CVVHD, and prone positioning.
• Collaborate within the ICU team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and safety.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience, preferably in MICU or Level I ICU settings.
• Current RN license valid in Missouri or Illinois; compact license preferred if applicable.
• Must possess ACLS and BCLS certifications.
• Experience with ventilators, chest tubes, wound care, sterile procedures, and critical care interventions.
• Ability to interpret and manage EKGs; pass Relias EKG exam.
• Willingness to float within ICU service line and to affiliate hospitals as needed.
• Ability to pass background and compliance screening, including a valid SSN, DOB, and compliance with health screening requirements.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with inhaled and IV Flolan, Swanz-Ganz, CVVHD, MTP Level 1 Rapid Transfuser, and proning techniques.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system.
• Prior experience with bedside procedures such as paracentesis, bronchoscopy, and bedside tracheostomy placement.
