Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to cardiac ICU patients, including ventilator management, arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, pacemakers, LVADs, Impellas, balloon pumps, and post-cardiac arrest patients.
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac conditions such as acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, arrhythmias, cardiogenic shock, and pre-heart transplant cases.
• Administer vasoactive drips, manage central lines and PA/TVP catheters, and oversee dialysis and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
• Collaborate within the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC electronic health record system and pass required Relias EKG exam.

Required Qualifications

• Valid state RN license (or eligible for Missouri license; Illinois requires a non-compact license).
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with a focus on cardiac or CVICU units, no neuro ICU experience required.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Ability to pass a Relias EKG exam.
• Willingness to float within the service line as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator management, arterial line and pulmonary artery catheter monitoring.
• Knowledge of LVADs, Impella devices, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system.
• Experience in a Magnet or Level I Trauma Center is advantageous.

Additional Notes

• Start date approximately 3-4 weeks after clearance.
• 12-hour night shifts, approximately 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Must comply with hospital parking procedures and RTO policies.
• No local candidates within 75 miles accepted; candidates outside this radius preferred.
