Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Bloomington, IN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts (4x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients across a range of acuity levels, including stable patients and those requiring stepdown or ICU-level care.
• Collaborate with team members in a float capacity, potentially working on inpatient PCU units, utilizing team nursing and delegation skills.
• Maintain compliance with department protocols, including documentation, patient assessment, and treatment planning.
• Adhere to safety and infection control standards, ensuring patient and staff safety at all times.
• Demonstrate flexibility to float to affiliate hospitals or other units as needed according to staffing requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Indiana (or eligible for temporary license if applicable).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records.
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays and flexible to work every other weekend.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in an acuity adaptable unit or PCU/ICU setting.
• Comfortable working in a team nursing environment with LPNs and CNAs.
• Strong delegation and communication skills.
