Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to medical/surgical patients in an intermediate or stepdown unit.
• Manage care for patients with conditions such as stroke, oncology, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary issues.
• Administer IV drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Insulin, and monitor post-procedure patients such as post-heart cath and post-pacemaker.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to observe and respond to patient needs, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols.
• Utilize Cerner charting system to document patient care accurately.
• Float within hospital or to nearby facilities as required, maintaining flexibility across units.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Indiana RN license (temporary or permanent accepted, must be in hand prior to start).
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience, with solid neuro background preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS.
• Must have experience with neuro patient care and medication/drip management.
• Ability to work night shift, full-time, on a 12-hour schedule.
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• SSN and DOB required at submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• Familiarity with stroke and oncology patient management.
• Experience with hospital electronic charting systems, specifically Cerner.
• Ability to float confidently within hospital units and to affiliate facilities.
