Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with various interventional radiology and special procedures, including GJ changes, PICC line insertions, taps, drains, LPs, angiograms, arteriograms, embolizations, sclerotherapy, joint injections, and biopsies.
- Assist with patient monitoring during procedures, IV starts, and post-sedation/GA recovery.
- Support with phlebotomy, holding pressure post embolization or arteriogram, and operating thrombectomy machines and power injectors.
- Ensure patient safety during high-complexity procedures, adhering to protocols and assist with patient positioning and care.
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide efficient and high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in interventional radiology or special procedures, with a strong preference for pediatric experience.
- 1-2 years of IR experience preferred.
- Must have current BLS and PALS certifications from AHA.
- Ability to pass a fitness assessment.
- Basic proficiency in phlebotomy and patient monitoring.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in ICU settings.
- Experience with adolescent or adult patients on a case-by-case basis.
- Knowledge of commonly performed IR procedures and use of associated equipment.
