• Contract, Full-time, Day shift (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a mixed acuity unit, including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary cases.
• Manage patients requiring drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Insulin, and monitor post-procedure care for Heart Cath and Pacemaker placements.
• Demonstrate solid neuro experience, including managing unstable strokes and BiPAP patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner or equivalent electronic charting systems.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including fluency in floating within hospital or to affiliate facilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid IN state, compact, or IN temporary nursing license in hand prior to start date.
• Minimum of 18 months of relevant nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Successful completion of required background checks and references.
• Knowledge of managing neuro, stroke, cardiac, and pulmonary patient care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units with mixed acuity patients.
• Proven ability to float across multiple hospital units including surgical, oncology, and stroke care.
• Strong charting skills in Cerner or similar EHR systems.
