• Full-time, nights shift, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care.
• Monitor fetal health using electronic fetal monitoring systems and respond to any abnormalities.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including OB/Neonatology providers, OB techs, and unit staff.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Support patient and family education related to labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid IL Registered Nurse license or active application in process
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Skilled in labor & delivery nursing, including fetal monitoring and neonatal care
• Experience with Level II nursery and nursery newborns preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in rotating weekends and holidays
• Last four digits of SSN and middle initial required for submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with obstetric and neonatal procedures in a high-volume facility (700+ deliveries/year)
• Experience operating Cpap and troubleshooting RT equipment under supervision
• Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios and workflow
