Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized cardiovascular operating room nursing care in a busy hospital setting.
• Circulate and assist in cardiothoracic, vascular, and other complex surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.) as needed, with circulating duties if floated.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and infection control during procedures.
• Follow all shift-specific protocols and contribute to postoperative patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license.
• Valid CVOR certification or related OR specialty certification preferred.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience, with strong vascular/cardiovascular skills.
• Experience in large, academic, or teaching hospital (500+ beds).
• Epic EMR experience from the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• High competency in cardio vascular/open heart surgeries.
• Flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs, including holiday and weekend rotations.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts with minimal call during weekdays and once every five weeks for weekend call.
• Reliable transportation with all-season or snow tires during winter months.
