Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process for an assigned group of patients during each shift.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and efficient care while adhering to hospital standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, actions, and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and document all interventions accurately.
• Identify educational and discharge needs of patients and their families throughout the care episode.
• Supervise and provide guidance to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Float between departments and local locations within a 20-mile radius as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an 18+ bed telemetry or progressive care unit.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test at onsite administration, with a second attempt allowed if needed.
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR systems.
