- Full-time, Days shifts, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Record treatments given and document patient progress accurately in medical records.
- Evaluate, plan, and administer treatments to improve or restore function and promote healing for residents with temporary or long-term disabilities.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and exercises.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care as needed.
- Ensure all treatment protocols comply with established plans of care and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
- Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Empathy, patience, and physical stamina for assisting patients with movements and exercises.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working with diverse patient populations in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
