Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Full-time, Days (5x8-hour shifts, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care in an outpatient cardiology clinic focused on electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist with electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, cardiac ablation, mapping, and device management.
• Monitor and manage patients with arrhythmias, perform 12-lead EKGs, and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina or Compact RN license (or applicable state licensure).
• At least 2 years of recent electrophysiology lab or outpatient cardiology clinic experience.
• Strong background in cardiology procedures, including pacemaker/ICD insertions, ablations, and conduction studies.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Comfortable floating within related units as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Familiarity with GLP-1 therapies in AFib management.
• Experience in risk factor modification or device clinics.
• Strong patient education skills, especially regarding lifestyle and medication adherence.
• Engagement in team-based quality improvement activities.
