Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures in the CVOR surgical setting.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards during heart and vascular surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient vital signs, manage IV lines, and respond to emergency situations during procedures.
• Document patient care activities and procedures accurately in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in post-operative patient care and recovery as part of the surgical team.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent CVOR experience prior to travel.
• Valid Ohio RN license (compact licenses accepted for starts from 1/1/23 forward).
• Active and current certifications with no pending items.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• 18 months of CVOR experience in a permanent role is mandatory prior to travel.
• Must have at least one recent supervisory or management reference from within the specialty.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.
• Reliable references from a manager, supervisor, or director in the surgical specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Open Heart and vascular surgery experience preferred.
• Experience with perioperative nurse certifications such as RNFA or CSFA (if applicable).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in high-pressure surgical environments.
