Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a surgical team member in the operating room under the supervision of an RN, primarily assisting in cardiac open-heart procedures.
• Assist with patient care across all age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Support various surgical procedures, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth operation flow and efficient patient care.
• Provide support in different areas of the OR as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Cardiac surgery experience is required for consideration.
• Current certification to practice surgical technology in Oregon.
• Successful completion of a recognized surgical technology education program or military/training equivalent.
• Certification as a surgical technologist through NBSTSA or equivalent education within the past 12 months.
• One year of CVOR/Open Heart scrub experience or two years of acute care scrub experience.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience or training in computer applications related to healthcare.
