Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Full-time, 13-week contract, Days shift, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care to obstetric patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum settings
• Assist with procedures such as cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal conditions using advanced fetal monitoring techniques
• Collaborate with obstetric team including MDs, CNMs, and anesthesia providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and Centricity documentation systems
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Valid RN license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification
• Ability to work 12-hour days on a flexible schedule including winter holidays if needed

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior travel nursing experience in obstetrics preferred
• Knowledge of advanced OB equipment and procedures such as fetal pillows, Cook's catheters, and Spinning Babies techniques
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Note: This position is based at a facility with a monthly delivery volume exceeding 200, featuring comprehensive services such as nitrous oxide therapy and epidural analgesia.

Additional Details
• Uniform: Solid colored scrubs (black, grey, or pink)
• No frequent floating; limited to Mother Baby unit if needed
• Shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
