Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality acute care to trauma, surgical, orthopedics, and urology patients in a surgical trauma unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, hospitalists, and specialists to deliver personalized patient care.
• Float between units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Utilize Meditech electronic medical records system for patient documentation and communication.
• Support and educate patients and their families during hospitalization.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• Valid Registered Nurse license for Alabama or a valid Compact license.
• BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience, with at least 1 year in the specialty area.
• Ability to work 36 hours per week, including holidays and weekends on a rotating schedule.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in trauma, surgical units, or telemetry.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
• Strong interdisciplinary team collaboration and communication skills.
