Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care in the ICU with the ability to float to PCU and handle higher patient ratios.
• Interpret dysrhythmias, manage complex cardiac patients, and perform procedures such as EKG/ECG interpretation, sheath removal, and IV management.
• Administer medications, including IV insulin protocols and emergency medications, while ensuring patient safety.
• Monitor ventilated patients, manage airway devices, and utilize high-flow oxygen therapies, including BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans for cardiac, respiratory, and critical conditions.
• Comply with infection control protocols, PPE guidelines, and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in Indiana or compact license willing to obtain Indiana license prior to start.
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience (please note exceptions based on experience).
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including major holidays.
• Willingness to float within hospital or to nearby facilities.
• Ability to interpret complex cardiac rhythms and manage critical protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with post-cardiac surgery, cardiac cath/intervention, and management of advanced respiratory devices.
• Prior experience with ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, and other acute cardiac conditions.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system and ICU procedures.
