Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional nursing care to patients with nephrology needs, following established standards and practices
• Assist healthcare providers in patient diagnosis, treatment, and education
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Educate patients and families on kidney health management and treatment plans
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with American Heart Association standards, renewed every two years
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Knowledge of nursing principles, safety protocols, and medical terminology
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to react calmly in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency in administering medications and treatments, and operating clinical equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in nephrology or chronic kidney disease patient care
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic medical environment
• Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions in clinical settings
