Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Schedule / Job Type: Travel, Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute or chronic kidney disease.
• Assist patients requiring renal replacement therapy such as post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis.
• Collaborate closely with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed to support staffing demands.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols, with responsibilities including documentation via Meditech EMR.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a valid Compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; will consider candidates with at least 1.5 years of experience working under a high-level professional license, particularly in renal or med-surg/tele units.
• AHA BLS or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work 36 hours per week, including holidays and every other weekend.
• Willingness to float between units and hospitals as required.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in renal care, dialysis, or med-surg/tele nursing.
• Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to different clinical environments.
