Therapist - Occupational Therapist
Location: Lafayette, IN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday + one weekend day per month throughout the contract
Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and develop plans of care for patients with varying acuity levels, including ICU to progressive care units.
• Conduct assessments and provide therapy for conditions such as cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, fractures, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, Parkinson’s, and mobility issues.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including ADL training, exercises, and activities aimed at improving patient function.
• Document patient progress and discharge recommendations daily using Cerner charting system.
• Participate as part of an inpatient acute care rehab team of 19 professionals.
• Maintain appropriate certifications and licenses, and adhere to hospital policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute hospital setting.
• IN state license and BLS certification.
• NBCOT certification.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with one weekend day per month.
• Certification/licenses in Manual Therapy and Lymphedema preferred.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• 18 months of relevant experience required; exceptions may apply depending on the unit.
• Must hold a valid IN state license prior to start; temporary licenses may be available.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with manual therapy or lymphedema.
• Cerner EMR system proficiency.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to floating within hospital settings.
