Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), 7 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to the inmate population in a correctional facility.
- Monitor and assess patients' health status, documenting findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility protocols.
- Respond to medical emergencies and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and security regulations.
- Assist in health education and health promotion initiatives within the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Prior experience in correctional or forensic healthcare preferred.
- Knowledge of correctional healthcare protocols and procedures.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a correctional environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-security correctional facility.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
