Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, nights shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care during a shift in the emergency room setting.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care for all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, responses, and actions taken.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all interventions per policy.
• Identify and address patient education and discharge needs throughout the care episode.
• Oversee and supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel on duty.
• Complete patient-specific education, competency testing, and adhere to unit standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nursing license for the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a large emergency department.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test on-site prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR system (training available on-site).
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment; team player mentality.
