Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized labor and delivery nursing care to high-risk patients in a hospital setting
- Manage patient assessments, monitor fetal and maternal health, and respond to emergency situations
- Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Transition and care for newborns immediately after delivery, following clinical protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care plans
- Document patient observations and interventions accurately in the medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license for South Carolina or multi-state compact license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery or related maternity care
- BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications through American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to catch and transition infants after delivery
- Experience working with high-risk obstetric patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic charting systems
- Prior experience working in a hospital with a size of 97 beds or similar capacity
- Flexibility to float within scope to sister units as needed
- Strong clinical skills in labor and postpartum care
