Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac, vascular, thoracic, robotic, and general surgeries in a high-volume hospital setting.
• Support surgical teams with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative procedures, ensuring patient safety and care quality.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and sterile field for cardiovascular and vascular surgeries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient surgical operations and patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards, including certification and credentialing requirements.
• Provide on-call support for cardiac, vascular, and endovascular procedures as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Valid NBSTSA certification (Clean Cardiac and/or Vascular priority).
• 2+ years of related work experience in a surgical tech role.
• National certification in surgical technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate web-based applications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a teaching hospital and specialized surgical areas.
• Prior involvement in cardiac, vascular, thoracic, or robotic surgeries.
• Experience with valve replacement procedures.

Additional Notes

• This is a full-time, day shift position, scheduled for four days per week.
• Orientation provided weekly.
• No local travelers accepted; candidate must reside beyond 50 miles of Boston.
• Guaranteed 72 hours per pay period, excluding on-call hours.
• Candidates must be available for scheduled weekend and holiday shifts, including on-call duties with a 30-minute response time.
