LVN / LPN - Rehab
Location: Gloucester, VA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in a skilled nursing and rehab unit
  • Administer treatments, medications, and monitor patient progress
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic charting system
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance standards, including BLS and VA license requirements
  • Support patient recovery and rehabilitation efforts in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid LVN or LPN license in Virginia or a compact license
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehab/skilled nursing
  • BLS certification required
  • EPIC charting experience is mandatory for acute care environments under Riverside Health
  • Evidence of NIH and stroke education for RN candidates at Riverside-affiliated hospitals (preferred for RNs, but relevant for LPNs as well)
  • Candidates must be able to provide proof of VA licensure or compact license at time of submittal
  • Must have a supervisory reference (2 references required for compliance)

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers considered
  • Experience working in Riverside-affiliated hospitals is highly desirable
  • Ability to float between units as needed based on facility requirements

Additional Notes:

  • All candidates must be available for 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • RTO requests should be kept to a minimum; all RTO must be disclosed upfront and approved
  • Prior permanent employees must have been off for at least 6 months before reapplying for travel roles
  • COVID-19 vaccination status may be required per facility policies
